With Five String Thing and Tourdion.
Ceilidh dancing makes for a wonderfully social evening. The band will play and the caller will guide you through the steps so that anyone can do it without having to be an expert. There are dances from all the countries of Britain and influences from the Continent and America. The Gay Gordons is a well known dance from Scotland, Strip the Willow from England, Horses Bransle from France and so on. Tickets £6

The week 14th to 20th July 2013 will see Oundle thronged with entertainers of all Genres’. From major Tribute Bands at Oundle wharf to poetry readings in the coffee shops. From great Blues Slide guitar players in the Ship Inn to Comedy nights at the George. From great folk bands at The Angel to thumping rock bands at the Rose and crown. The gentle sounds of classical French Parisian café music will be heard in the opulence of the Talbot Hotel’s lounge areas with a Shakespearian ode or two drifting in the air.
